CSI IMMANUEL CHURCH Sunday School was started immediately after  the Congregation was established in 1000.  The Sunday school starts every Sunday at 7:00 a.m English and 11.00 am Malayalam.  They start with a Sunday School Order of service which include sing-a longs and choruses, Bible reading and following a short worship service.  The children have a prescribed lesson to learn. We  conduct a Sunday school Sunday in  (Month), every year. Children are given the opportunity to conduct and actively participate in the service. A Sunday school  Anniversary & Christmas celebrations is conducted in early December. Children are recognized for their various achievements in School classes with presents. Every year we conduct a VBS program during summer time. The children present various programs and participate in all the major events of the congregation.

Annual Report 2015-16

By the holy grace, the ministration of our Sunday school functioning was commenced with dedication prayer by our Vicar Rev. Jacob John on 11-01-2015. The almighty has let us have another year to work for the Sunday School with motto “I long for your salvation, O Lord, and your law is my delight.” It was under the control of congregational leadership with 239 children, 33 teachers and 9 volunteers both in English and Malayalam medium. The curriculum published by CEEFI for second year series was followed. The children were classified into different sections according to their age groups and registered with Diocesan Sunday School Association. Examinations were conducted on Mid -term and Annual basis and prizes were distributed on the basis of marks obtained by children in the above mentioned examinations for encouragement.
The Immanuel Church conducts Sunday school classes every Sunday during the morning services in English and Malayalam. On 8th Feb, a short presentation on “Kids to grow as instruments of God” was done in the English Sunday school and a similar presentation was done for Malayalam Sunday School on 22nd Feb. Sunday school teachers visited the students appearing for class10 exam in their homes and prayed for them.

V B S 2015
VBS of the current year was held from 6-04-2015 to 12-04-2015. Scripture Union Leaders, Mr. Dinesh and Mr. Robin were the directors of the endeavor. The theme was “Triumph always”. It was a beautiful session of 108 children, 21 teachers, and 16 volunteers. Lunch was also provided after VBS classes. On 24th March, Rev. Jacob John and a few teachers visited Karunalayam and gave financial support.

One Day Retreat
On 24th Sep, one day retreat for Sunday school children was conducted by Mr. Babu Thomas and his team from Angamaly. Almost 100 children and 74 parents, teachers and volunteers participated.

Sunday School Teacher’s Sunday
On 21st June the Sunday school teachers Sunday was observed. Dr. Mrs. Grace Chandy & Mrs. Annamma Abraham delivered the word of God in the English and Malayalam services respectively.

Sunday School Day
By the immense grace of our Lord, Sunday School Sunday was observed on 18th Oct in both the Malayalam and English worship services. The children actively and enthusiastically participated in the various roles provided for them during the worship service. They also rendered beautiful action songs.

Sunday School Picnic
Sunday school one day picnic was conducted on 8th Aug to Palakkad and Malampuzha. A total strength of 29 children, 6 volunteers and 14 teachers participated.

Sunday School Participation in Church Activities
Both children and teachers actively participated in various occasional church activities such as family Sunday celebration, Harvest festival, Sunday School Sunday etc. A dedication day was organized on Dec 7th for students of Intermediate and Senior classes under the blissful leadership of Mrs. Lissy Kochamma and Mrs. Bennita Billygraham.

Our church conducted G.K Kurien Memorial Endowment best singer cash award competition on 6th Dec 2015. The following children won prizes for the same.

Congratulations to the winners and appreciations to Mr. Anil Lukose for support. We specially thank Mr. M. J .Varkey, choirmaster for his valuable service to our Sunday School. We are also thankful to the Vicars and Pastorate committee members & Diocesan council members for their valuable guidance and support in day to day activities and thereby the spiritual growth of our children.
We remember with gratitude the service rendered by the well wishers within our church. Above all we wish to express our gratitude to Almighty God for all His blessings and mercies showered upon us throughout the year.
